CZUR Document Scanners
CZUR's flat-page scanners are compact overhead cameras for loose paper. Lay a page down, capture it in a second or less, and swap in the next. There are no rollers to jam and no lid to lift, so they handle stapled sheets, receipts, IDs and fragile letters as easily as plain paper. CZUR's software crops and straightens each capture, combines fronts and backs into one file, and runs text recognition in 180+ languages for searchable PDF, Word and Excel exports.
Two models cover this group. The Shine800A3 Pro uses an 8MP sensor with an adjustable height and autofocus, reaching pages up to A3. CZUR lists about 340 dpi at A4 and about 245 dpi at A3, under a second per page, with a foot pedal for hands-free capture. The Lens800 Pro is smaller and stops at A4, also at about 270 dpi, but its base rotates 180° so it works as a webcam with sound for video calls.
Neither is built for bound books. Both list single pages as the intended material and don't include the laser-guided curve flattening of CZUR's book scanners.
How to choose: pick the Shine800A3 Pro if some of your paper is larger than letter size, such as drawings, ledgers or school projects. Pick the Lens800 Pro if everything is A4 or smaller and you'd like a webcam in the same footprint. The CZUR review compares all four CZUR scanners in one table.
How to choose a document scanner
The first question is paper size. The Shine800A3 Pro reaches A3, which covers drawings, large forms, ledger sheets and school projects, while the Lens800 Pro stops at A4. If anything you scan is bigger than letter size, the Shine800A3 Pro is the one that fits.
Both use an 8MP sensor; CZUR lists about 340 dpi at A4 for the Shine800A3 Pro and about 270 dpi for the Lens800 Pro. The differences are in how they're built. The Shine800A3 Pro has autofocus, an adjustable height, a top LED with stepless brightness and a foot pedal, so you can keep both hands on the paper. It weighs about 1 kg. The Lens800 Pro uses fixed focus and detects page turns automatically, and its base rotates 180° so it doubles as a webcam with sound, recording at up to 1920 × 1080.
So for mixed paperwork in larger sizes, choose the Shine800A3 Pro. For a small desk where A4 is the limit and you also take video calls, choose the Lens800 Pro. Both capture in about a second or less and export searchable PDF, Word and Excel.
FAQs
Are these faster than a flatbed? CZUR quotes 1 second or less per capture, with no lid to open, though you place each page by hand.
Can they scan receipts and business cards? Yes. Both handle small items, and the Lens800 Pro lists business-card splitting for several cards in one capture.
What resolution do they scan at? CZUR lists about 340 dpi at A4 and about 245 dpi at A3 for the Shine800A3 Pro, and about 270 dpi for the Lens800 Pro.
Do I need a foot pedal? The Shine800A3 Pro includes foot pedal support. A pedal isn't published in the Lens800 Pro specs, which relies on automatic page-turn detection.
How do they connect? Both connect to a computer over USB 2.0.
