Verdict: The Lens800 Pro is CZUR's most compact and least expensive scanner here. CZUR lists an 8MP sensor, about 270 dpi, pages up to A4 and a capture time of 1 second or less. Its party trick is a base that rotates 180°, turning the scanner into a webcam with sound for video calls. If you scan single sheets, IDs and cards on a crowded desk and also need a camera for meetings, it's a sensible two-in-one. If you scan books or anything larger than A4, choose a different CZUR model.

What stands out

Two devices in one. Rotate the base and the camera faces you. CZUR lists full HD video with sound, so the Lens800 Pro can stand in for a separate webcam on calls and online classes. For a small desk, that's one less gadget.

Fast single-page capture. With a capture time of a second or less and no warm-up, you can lay down a page, capture, and swap. Automatic page-turn detection can take the next shot as soon as the page changes, which speeds up a pile of loose sheets.

Office-friendly software. Beyond text recognition, CZUR lists barcode and QR recognition, watermarking and the ability to split a group of business cards into separate images. Front-and-back combining keeps two-sided IDs and forms in a single file.

Small footprint. It's the most compact way into CZUR's software and text recognition.

What to watch

The Lens800 Pro is limited to A4, and CZUR lists it for single pages only. It has no book flattening, no side light, and fixed focus, so bound books and thick items won't come out as cleanly as on the Aura Pro or ET MAX.

Foot-pedal control isn't published for this model, so plan on software or auto-scan triggering. Detail is capped by the 8MP sensor; CZUR sells a 12MP Lens1200 Pro for people who want more resolution at the same A4 size.

The webcam mode is a convenience feature. CZUR doesn't publish low-light or microphone specs for calls, so if video quality is your priority, a dedicated webcam may suit you better.

Who it's for

  • Home offices handling receipts, bills, contracts and IDs
  • Remote workers who want a webcam and a scanner in one footprint
  • Teachers showing worksheets live during online lessons
  • Small front desks that capture forms and cards all day

How it compares

Against the Shine800A3 Pro, the Lens800 Pro is smaller and cheaper and adds the webcam mode, but stops at A4 and lacks autofocus and the foot pedal. For books, the Aura Pro and ET MAX are the CZUR models built for the job. The CZUR review compares all four, and the document scanners page covers the flat-page models.

Setup tips

Place the Lens800 Pro on the edge of your desk so the A4 area sits clear of keyboards and cables. Use a plain dark surface under pages to help auto-cropping. When you switch to webcam mode, rotate the base fully and select the camera in your meeting app as you would any external webcam.
